Interview with Mr. Yuta Tsubaki, President of Gosho Works

In February of last year, Yuta Tsubaki was appointed president of Gosho works (Kanagawa Prefecture). He is looking ahead to the next era by strengthening human resource development and communication.

The company, a manufacturer of socket screws, will build a new four-story office building at its Tarumachi Plant (Kanagawa Prefecture) in 2020. The Tarumachi Plant, which houses the head office, will be responsible for development and high-mix low-volume products. The Miharu Plant (Fukushima Prefecture), which is the company's main base for mass production, and the Sakura Plant (Fukushima Prefecture) will improve their integrated production functions, from heading to heat treatment and shipping. The Sakura Plant has undergone expansion work to increase its production facilities. Robots have been installed in each base to speed up production and save labor. They are also aiming to shorten the lead time between bases to improve efficiency. We interviewed Mr. Yuta Tsubaki.

What are your ambitions?

This November will mark the 90th anniversary of our company. I feel it is my responsibility to carry on the tradition established by our predecessors and pass it on to the next generation. We encourage our employees to acquire various qualifications. For example, in order to establish fair and equitable evaluation standards for formers and form rolling skills, we have had an in-house skills test system in place since 1988. For example, in order to establish fair and equitable evaluation standards for formers and form rolling skills, the company has had an in-house skills certification system in place since 1988. We would like to carry on the "human resource development" that the chairman has been focusing on in the future.

What is your response to the future business climate?

Production of socket screws has been strong due to the brisk demand for machine tools. The speed of economic change is rapid and unpredictable, but we will respond by strengthening internal communication, for example by promptly reflecting information from the sales department to the production site.

Mr. Yuta Tsubaki was born on October 25, 1980.
