Japan is Concerned About Chinas Steel Exports Rise

Koichi Kakigi, President of the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF), said that the greatest risk for Japan’s steel industry is China’s high-level exports, and that Chinese steel exporters make connections by taking advantage of the weak yen.

It is stated that the threat of imposing taxes by US on $ 500 billion worth import from China is worrying that the slowdown in the Chinese economy will be faster than expected and that this will adversely affect steel demand.

On the other hand, it is reported that Chinese exporters have increased their export opportunities due to the weakening yuan in the last two weeks.
