Dimac Servicing 4.0: Transforming Customer Interactions

Customers increasingly expect their service interactions to be simple, intuitive and highly personalized. They also want real-time access to services and seamless interactions across multiple channels.

Dimac Servicing 4.0 is a new approach aiming to interact with Fasteners OEMs in ways that wholly satisfy these higher expectations.

Dimac GM Massimo Agrati explains: “This is a fundamental transformation that can help us to meet customers’ increased demands by evolving the way our services are offered and delivered”.

The 4.0 changing technologies enable the servicing transformation and promote greater efficiency throughout the Fasteners Manufacturers’ value chain.

Mrs. Anna Maria Agrati continues: “Our engineers have developed a cloud computing data and analytics system to manage large data volumes in open systems and provide services on demand”.

The target is to offer a reactive, proactive and possibly predictive servicing, getting a deeper insight into customers’ demands, preferences and pathways.

“it is opening a very suggestive scenario for Dimac,” Mrs. Agrati continues “cognitive computing for an intelligent virtual assistance or robotic automation, replacing humans in work processes that are entirely rule-based”.

Actually, Dimac is hedging more bets. The management’s policy has been recently awarded by the successful five-days-attendance at Dimac booth, during WIRE 2018. Among the latest innovations, Dimac exhibited ACTY, the new, revolutionary Dimac Servicing Augmented Reality application for smartphones and tablets.

“By this APP,” Mr. Agrati explains “the operator of the sorting department or the maintenance staff can video-chat live with the Dimac Service getting immediate support through the screen of his smartphone or tablet. The Dimac service can guide the operator by drawing indications directly on the live screen and feeding augmented reality tools proposing directions, pictures, technical data, drawings, instructions and schemes”.

As an option Dimac can provide smart glasses with integrated live-cam to be wear for free-hands operations. The oculars of the smart glasses will show live images provided by remote by the Dimac service. Images would be visible like on a wide screen. Indications and information will be superimposed while the operator sets up the machine or troubleshoots.
